We recently had a terrible experience. We lost our beloved pet. His name was Rusty. We adopted Rusty on 09/09/09. He
was left alone on our road. He first followed my husband's vehicle from the church about a mile away. I came home about 45
minutes later and saw a puppy sitting at the end of our drive way. I turned up our drive way and he began to chase my vehicle.
I stopped and picked him up. He was covered with mange.I gave him a nice warm bath hoping to ease his pain some before
taking him to the humane society in the morning. I ask my husband what he thought and he said lets let him stay and see how
he does.
Rusty over time became the best dog and the best friend any one could ask for. He was so gentle with all our dogs and
quickly earned the name the baby sitter. On March the 6th 2010 ,he left with 2 of our Beagles Gidgett & Gretchin.Gidgett
& Gretchin were found on a farm 1 mile from home and Rusty was with them. Rusty disappeared when a work crew left (Hispanic)
The owner of the property questioned them and they all denied knowing what happened to Rusty.

We responed to a call on 04/26/10 ,the people said they thought they had found Rusty. We were so excited ,we could
not wait to get there. The little dog found was not Rusty but had come from a terrible place, He was filthy,hungry and caked
with mud.We brought him home.Upon checking with our vet he had a very bad Staff infection from filth and starvation. He had
no manors at all.My husband is fantastic with animals and we decided to keep him. We of course checked with the news paper
and stores to see if some one was missing him. To our surprize no one was even looking for him. Maybe it was meant to be.His
name is Boston. He is getting better and so are we. We searched for weeks for our sweet Rusty and shed enough tears to fill
a lake. We still look for Rusty but are enjoying our new dog Boston.

I am telling every one this story so you will make every effort to make sure this does not happen to your family. This was
a terrible experience and I could have avoided it. I have felt terrible about this ,because I am not sure what happened to
Rusty. I have prayed that who ever has him loves as much as we did.
